Risk Disclosure

Provider risk wording last verified: 2026-08-26

1. The provider risk warning

CFDs and Spread Bets are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. 70.98% of retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs and Spread Bets with this provider. You should consider whether you understand how CFDs and Spread Bets work and whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money.

The wording above is reproduced from the Vantage UK risk disclosure and is used with attribution. Always check the current wording on the provider's own site before relying on it.

2. What leverage means

A contract for difference (CFD) is a leveraged product: you only put up a fraction of the position size as margin, but your profit or loss is calculated on the full position. That means both gains and losses are magnified relative to your deposit — a small adverse move can lose substantially more than your initial margin and can, in some circumstances, exceed it.

3. What the community is not

Midlands Gold Traders is a community that shares Gold market analysis, commentary and tools. It is not a regulated investment service, does not give personal investment advice, and does not manage anyone's money. No trade, analysis, indicator or bot output is a recommendation to buy or sell any instrument.

4. Not investment advice

We are not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and we are not a financial adviser. If you are unsure whether trading is right for you, seek independent financial advice before you begin.

5. Provider terms and regulation

All actual trading takes place with Vantage. The terms, risk warnings, margin requirements and regulatory protections that apply to you are those of your provider. Please read them in full before opening an account:
